Research Assistant (Ref. LAB/25/18)
IRB Barcelona is seeking a dedicated Research Assistant to support our research teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, preparing samples, and assisting with experiments in the Inflammation, Tissue Plasticity & Cancer Research Group.
The Inflammation, Tissue Plasticity & Cancer Research Group aims to understand how oncogenic mutations and environmental insults alter normal cellular identity and tissue homeostasis to drive and sustain cancer. To do so, we combine functional genomics tools (CRISPR/Cas9; RNAi), mouse models and organoid/cell culture systems, and (epi)genomic methods including single-cell and spatial technologies.
The successful candidate will perform molecular/cellular biology techniques (eg. cloning, DNA/RNA/protein extractions, cell culture, genotyping) and in vivo work (eg. preclinical animal models, rodent survival surgeries, tissue processing) to support projects investigating molecular and cellular mechanisms of epithelial carcinogenesis; and will assist in setting up and maintaining the lab’s organizational and experimental pipelines.
This position is financed by the project “COMBinATorial Personalized Approaches for Subtyping and Targeting Functional Heterogeneity in Pancreatic Ductal AdenoCarcinoma".
