Lab Technician (ref. LAB/25/16)
IRB Barcelona is seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to support our research teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, preparing samples, and assisting with experiments in Cell Signaling Research Group.
This position is financed by the project "Harnessing an alternative RB1 activation mechanism for a potential breast cancer therapy", a project finances by the AECC.

Key responsibilities
- Prepare and label samples for analysis.
- Conduct routine laboratory tests and procedures.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Record and analyze data accurately.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Assist researchers with experiments and projects.
- Manage laboratory supplies and inventory.
You have
- Medical Laboratory Technician Associate's degree (“Ciclo formativo de grado superior – Técnico superior de laboratorio”) or equivalent experience.
- Experience of 14 years in a laboratory setting.
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques and safety protocols.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly motivated and collaborative person.
- Willing to keep on learning.
- Ability to work independently in a demanding research environment.
You might also have
- Familiarity with yeast as model organism, protein expression and purification in bacteria, and molecular biology (western blot, genome editing technologies, PCRs, DNA/RNA isolation…).
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with data analysis software.
