Engineering Officer (ref. AD/25/17)
The Engineering Officer joining the IRB will carry out support tasks of the General Infrastructures and Services Department for all the facilities available at the IRB in the PCB building.
We are looking for a dynamic individual with a curious mind, eager to understand the inner workings of technical installations (electricity, air conditioning, etc.) and the equipment at a cutting-edge research center.
They should have an open and inclusive mindset and a multidisciplinary approach to working with researchers. They will also participate in the department’s various technological projects and the new building project.
Key responsibilities
- Elaborate plans and other documents to support the implementation of the facilities of the IRB. This means update of scientific equipment, furniture, alarms for scientific equipment, etc.
- Collaborate with the elaboration of the documents to carry out construction works as well as the management of the plans and other documents like as-built works final documents.
- Database update on the scientific equipment software: asset write-off, asset tagging and update of asset location.
- Collaborate with the analysis of documents of the new project for the BIST building: elaborate documents to study the implementation of the IRB facilities in this new building.
You have
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering.
- Advanced knowledge of Advanced AutoCAD.
- Fluent in Spanish and Catalan and intermediate level of English
- Skills: detail oriented, excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly motivated and eager to learn.
