Junior Group Leader in ageing-associated diseases (ref. GL/23/01)
IRB Barcelona (www.irbbarcelona.org) is a multidisciplinary institute where scientists address challenging and pressing biomedical problems in a collaborative fashion in order to provide groundbreaking solutions to unmet medical needs. The institute currently has more than 450 members from all over the world working in 28 research groups.
IRB Barcelona invites applications from outstanding young investigators in the field of ageing-associated diseases for a tenure track junior Group Leader position.
The successful candidate will be expected to tackle—both from the clinical and fundamental research perspectives—ageing-associated pathologies. They will join a highly interdisciplinary and collaborative institution that is strong in research into cancer/metastasis, ageing and cell reprogramming, metabolism, cell differentiation, signal transduction, and gene expression regulation. The laboratories hosted by IRB
Barcelona have a broad high-impact publication track in the aforementioned topics.
The successful candidate will be provided with laboratory space, a generous start-up package, running costs and access to state-of-the-art facilities (listed at irbbarcelona.org). In addition, they will be able to take part in IRB Barcelona's Mentoring Programme for new Group Leaders.
